The Messenger : When did you start DJing - and what or who were your early passions and influences?
Luca Agnelli : I started Djing when I was 15 years old in local club, at that time my favourite djs were Frankie Knukles, Derrick May, Jeff Mills, Lil Louis, Louie Vega and Tony Humpries.
TM : What constitutes great mixing from your point of view?
Luca Agnelli : I think that a great mixing is when you create waves of energy proposing the music that i like and transmitting emotions to the dancefloor.
TM : Who or what would you say is your biggest musical influence?
Luca Agnelli : I’am influenced by everything that I like and by everything that gives me good vibes. I like so much artists like Sterac, Truncate, Adam Beyer, Dax J, Robert Hood, Ben Klock, Dave Clark, Len Faki, Johannes Heil and many more.
TM : Tell us the story behind ''PHOENIX’'
Luca Agnelli : I wanted to create something a little bit different from what I usually do, a melody that could remain in the minds of people and that could create a special atmosphere.
TM : What’s next for your many ventures?
Luca Agnelli : I have released now my remix for Angle on Tip Top audio records, i will have in the next weeks a remix for Diego Amura on Etruria beat, a remix for Myk Deril on Kaputt records, a remix for KTRL on Off and a new ep on Etruria beat with remixes by Abstract Division and Yotam Avni.
TM : Which are the next releases of your own label Etruria beat?
Luca Agnelli : Now we have the new ep by Bastinov with Roberto Clementi remix, and the next releases will be Diego Amura with remixes by TWR72 and mine, Alignment ep with remixes by Reform and Avgusto, Dast ep with remixes by Pig & Dan and Kevin de Vries.
We enjoyed Luca on our 1 Year anniversary event @ Steam Athens, along with Comunica, Sime-On and D-Vibe, where he did an amazing set.
